Teens' Medical Digest
Teens’ Medical Digest is a student-run digital publication that provides clear, accurate, and accessible reporting on medicine and the medical industry. We translate evidence-based research and healthcare developments into engaging, understandable content for teen readers while upholding ethical standards. Through careful research and editorial review, we challenge medical misinformation, explain advancements that shape patient care, and promote medical literacy, critical thinking, and informed discussion.
We are actively looking for new writers to join us. You can receive up to 2 hours of volunteering per every article written! Scroll down to see the submission guidelines before contacting us.

Why privacy matters
Teens Medical Digest is run by high school students. Publishing full names online permanently ties minors to medical content that can involve sensitive topics such as mental health, reproductive health, illness, trauma, or ethical debates. Once published, content is searchable and permanent, and students should not be required to create a lasting digital footprint on topics they may later want private
Why minors need additional protection
Unlike adult journalists, student writers are still minors whose online identities are still forming. Colleges, employers, and the public can access this content indefinitely. Allowing anonymity protects students from unwanted attention, misinterpretation of their views, harassment, or misuse of their work outside its original educational context.
Why anonymity does not reduce accountability
Articles are not anonymous in the sense of being unreviewed. All content is reviewed by the editorial board, fact checked, and held to the publication’s standards. Responsibility lies with the publication as an institution, similar to how some professional outlets publish editorials without individual bylines.
Why this aligns with ethics and professionalism
Medical information carries ethical responsibility. Protecting student privacy while maintaining rigorous editorial oversight reflects the same values used in healthcare and research, where confidentiality is prioritized without compromising accuracy or integrity.
The content published on Teens’ Medical Digest is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not intended to substitute professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional with any questions regarding a medical condition or health decision.
We do not provide medical advice and do not establish a doctor patient relationship. While we strive to ensure accuracy and rely on credible, evidence based sources, medical information is constantly evolving and we cannot guarantee that all content is fully comprehensive or up to date.
Readers should not disregard or delay seeking professional medical care based on information found on this website. Use of this site and its content is at the reader’s own discretion and risk.
